About Us
Larry Nimmer is the director of Immigrants Stories. Based in Southern California, he is an Emmy-nominated TV producer. His work can be seen at www.nimmer.net .
Immigrant Stories was founded on July 10, 2025, when an ICE raid occurred at a local farm in Carpinteria. Crowds of concerned citizens, including Nimmer, gathered at city hall to voice their frustration over the incident, with many expressing the need for more immigrant stories to be shared. At the time, Larry Nimmer was working with the Rotary Club of Carpinteria on a YouTube channel called Everyone Has a Story. After the ICE raid, the focus shifted entirely toward creating Immigrant Stories.
Our work is supported by various nonprofit organizations, including Causenow.org, 805UndocuFund.org, and the Carpinteria Immigrant Rights Coalition. Through these organizations, we provide valuable content to help promote their advocacy work. While Immigrant Stories is not yet a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we operate with a clear commitment to ensuring that all our efforts are not for profit. Every resource is directed towards advancing our shared mission: to elevate immigrant voices.

How Your Support Helps
Donations play a crucial role in helping us expand our reach and continue producing meaningful content. Contributions are used to promote videos on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, ensuring that more people can see, hear, and connect with immigrant voices. Funds also support video production so we can capture new stories each week from local events, community gatherings, marches, and public meetings.
